Patrick Mulhall – Managing Director
Patrick graduated with a Business Degree in 1992 and then trained as an accountant, initially within the public sector at Stoke Mandeville Hospital but then at CPM Field Marketing. It was whilst at CPM that he moved firstly into recruitment and then across into sales and the account management function. In 2003 he was approached by Mars UK and joined their sales programme. He then achieved fast track promotion to National Sales Manager and became part of the training and coaching team, responsible for the ice cream division. Towards the end of 2007 he moved to Ferrero UK and took responsibility of their largest “Route To Market” portfolio of Palmer & Harvey. In December 2013 he was again promoted to take on the role of National Sales Manager. Patrick joined the Alternative Pallet Company in August 2014 as Managing Director.
Ross Jones – Director
Ross started his career at Gerrard and National Ltd, a Discount House, in 1977 and was appointed as a director of the Gerrard Group Plc in 1986 In 1993 he completed the International Executive Programme at INSEAD before being appointed CEO of Gerrard & National Ltd. He was elected as the inaugural Chairman of the London Money Market Association in 1996. Ross remained with the Gerrard Group post the takeover by Old Mutual PLC in 2000 before leaving in 2004 to found JTP Partners LLP. Over the last 20 years Ross has served as a Non Executive Chairman and Director of a number of listed and Private Companies and joined the Board of The Alternative Pallet Company in January 2014. Ross became Chairman of The Alternative Pallet Company in January 2016.
Dave Rose – Sales
David has spent over 20 years in the FMCG and Field Marketing sectors, where excellent Client understanding and good collaborative management is paramount. Recognising the importance of these disciplines has seen David’s career grow from Field Sales Executive through to National Account Management to Strategic Director. He also brings a great level of knowledge across multiple sectors and industries including wholesale; FMCG; pharmaceuticals; food service and Point of Sale. David heads up our Sales Strategy – helping our customers with the best and right solutions for them. He looks forward to meeting you soon. He also plays golf and will always welcome a game!
Rob Poole – Business Development
Rob started his career in Mechanical Engineering, transferring to sales of engineering consumables, components and spares in 1995. In 1997, Rob joined Dairi-Pak, a corrugated packaging converter, in the paper industry as UK Sales Manager with the responsibility of building new business. In 2003, having enjoyed significant growth, Rob was promoted to the position of Sales Director. In 2007, Rob and his family relocated to Canada and worked for Ibox Packaging in Vancouver, representing them in the Alberta region. On returning to the UK, Rob established Paperpro, acting as an agent for five businesses in the paper and packaging sector. In 2010, Rob joined The Alternative Pallet Company.
Quentin Solt – Adviser to the Board
Quentin is a corporate finance lawyer. Having been a senior partner at Berwin Leighton Paisner in 2002 he established his own firm specialising in corporate and commercial advisory services for high growth businesses and from 2004 to 2007 was engaged by Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP as a consultant to head its London corporate team office. He sold his firm to Burlingtons Legal LLP in 2012, where he continues as a consultant. Quentin was one of two founders of Eurovestech PLC, an early stage technology investment company, which was listed on AIM for over a decade and where he remains on the Board. He has a wide range of interests, having trained as a mediator and lectured at CASS and Cranfield School of Management. Quentin was appointed an adviser to board of The Alternative Pallet Company in 2012.
